The Session Cynthia Graham Photography specializes in black and white portraits of children and families. Capturing candid, natural expressions is the focus of the photo session. The work is done in black and white with minimal use of props so attention may be placed more importantly on expression, relationship and spirit. Cynthia places a high value on customer service, where the client is treated with utmost respect. Her goal is creating portraits that reflect the innermost beauty of your loved ones and that the experience be a joyful and positive one for everyone involved. The session may take place in any number of locations. You choose the destination. You may choose the comfort of your own home and yard, where a studio environment can be also set up indoors, which Cynthia provides. It may also take place at a favorite park, the beach, or in her home studio. An important factor in choosing a location is that it be a place where your children can be most comfortable and have fun! Sessions may last anywhere from one to three hours, allowing plenty of time for play, snacks, and getting to know one another. You are never rushed as often the best shots occur when everyone has forgotten about the camera and can truly be themselves. Several changes of clothing during the session allow for a variety of looks. Solid color clothing is most recommended, as again, it keeps the focus on expression. Avoiding logos or busy patterns will make for a more effective portrait. If families or groups of children are being photographed together, please have everyone dress in similar toned clothing for a more unified look. Bare feet are preferred over shoes, and children often find this more fun as well!
