Meet Cynthia Portrait photography is not only my profession, it is my passion. I've been fascinated with photography since I was child, and to be able to work at this craft on a daily basis remains for me a labor of love. The challenge of finding new and creative ways of photographically conveying the beauty I see never fails to excite me and never stops being new. I work exclusively in black and white because I believe that without the distraction of color, greater emphasis may be placed on the subject, emotion readily evoked, and harmony of composition more clearly evident. The simplicity of the palette rendering a timeless portrait. I am not wanting to merely document a person photographically, I am wanting to reveal them artistically. Their character, their unique charm, their thoughtfulness and inner essence... these are the things I seek out and strive to view in every person I photograph. And these are the things that I want my portraits to speak to and depict. I have chosen maternity and children's portraiture as my specialty for many varied reasons, but primarily because I see these ever-changing moments as brimming with magic, filled with emotion, and so worthy of being thoughtfully preserved on film. It is my personal objective with each and every shoot that I take on, to create something honest, intimate, and beautiful that will be treasured forever. Since life is always moving so quickly, there is never a more perfect time to have professional portraits made than today.
